At a ceremony this week in Lisbon, the president of Group Pestana, Dr Dionisio Pestana, was presented by Ernst & Young Portugal who are one of the world's largest professional services networks, with their prestigious 'Entrepreneur of the Year' award for 2011.

TUI – Europe’s leading travel group, recently presented to both the Pestana Miramar and Pestana Palms resorts on Madeira Island their prestigious Environmental Champion Award. This global award is presented to resorts based entirely on the feedback of guest visits.

According to reports in the local press, Pestana Groups latest pousada project - Cidadela de Cascais, is to be inaugurated in February 2012.
This historic monument, parts of  which date back to the 15th century is located on the seafront in the prestigious resort town of Cascais, close to Lisbon.
